West Nile hosts one of the largest refugee populations in Uganda, and the pressure of that falls on host communities as much as on the settlements themselves. IDPN works across both, on the principle that an intervention which serves only one side of the boundary creates a new problem while solving an old one.
The work covers social protection for the most vulnerable households, livelihood support, and access to the services the Network delivers elsewhere: water, health awareness, and skills.
This programme is a direct expression of the Network's commitment to serve all people equally, regardless of religion, ethnicity, nationality or status.
